I wish I could say I'm the type of person who has the propensity (or the time) to carefully plan out all of my shopping trips to make sure I'm getting everything I'll need for the week's meals, activities and chores and that each item was chosen because it was the best possible option for my family and for, you know, the world. I, however, am not that person. I am the person who shops (both in a store and online) with a general sense of what the week may hold and if I have the time to research I'll use what I find out to help me make my picks, and sometimes it all works out and others, not so much.
Over the years I have picked up a few tricks that have helped me make the better-for-me choice a bit faster – looking for the USDA Certified Organic label, for example – and I really appreciate anything stores do to aid and abet a quick smart shop. This is why Target's Made To Matter program is one of my favorites, they have carefully selected organic and sustainable products across baby, personal care, household and grocery and all of them are carefully marked on the shelf and online which makes it oh so convenient to get my shopping done.
Ella's Kitchen® has been part of the program since its inception and each year they release a few exclusive products – this year it is a line of organic smoothie drinks with nutritious flavors like Sweet Potato and Mango, Apple and Zucchini and Strawberry and Red Beet. During my last Target trip I stocked up on another great product included in the Made To Matter Program, Ella's Kitchen® Juice Blend drink with Aloe Vera – usually we avoid juice drinks for our little guy because of all the sugar but these have 50% less sugar than leading kids beverage and the aloe vera helps with hydration, a major plus during the high temps we've had lately. There are plenty of other Ella's Kitchen product in the Made to Matter program, check those out here and while you're there be sure to peruse the other excellent organic and sustainable M2M brands!
